Josh’s Regret

It was Monday afternoon, and Josh left the school immediately when the lesson was over. He had a very important exam the next day, so he wanted to go home as quickly as possible and start studying. It was 9 p.m. when his best friend sent him a text, and said “Josh, get ready quickly. Your favourite rock star is in town. There is a big party at Alin’s, and he is playing there right now.” Josh got so excited, and said, “Oh my! I would love to come, but I have an important exam tomorrow. If I don’t study now, I may fail. I can’t come.” Mark said, “Come on, Josh! I am sure you already studied well. We can go now, listen to two or three songs, and come home as early as possible. You can continue studying after you go back home.” Josh thought a second, and said “OK. Good idea! Let’s go now.”

First, Josh and Mark went to the party. Then, they listened to him play all of his songs. They didn’t leave the party early because they wanted to take pictures with him. When the performance was over, they met the rock star and took pictures with him. He even signed Josh’s t-shirt. He was so happy. Next, Josh arrived home at around 2 a.m. He wanted to study, but he couldn’t. He was so sleepy, so he decided to go to bed.

After that, the next day when Josh woke up, he felt so tired. He had to feel better because he had an exam. He ate a big breakfast, and drank some orange juice, but still he was feeling tired. He went to school in his dad’s car. He took his seat in class and waited for the exam. The exam started when everyone took their seats. Josh couldn’t concentrate on the exam because he was still feeling tired.

When the exam finished, Mark saw Josh and asked, “How was the exam, Josh?” Josh answered, “Not good! I am feeling so tired because of last night. I will never again go to a party and sleep late the night before an important exam!”.
