Julie’s Road To Success

Julie’s Road To Success

Julie Powell was working in a phone company when she decided to do something interesting because she wasn’t happy with her job. She loved cooking, so she decided to cook all the 524 recipes in the 1961 cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking by a chef called Julia Child.
After cooking each
recipe, she wrote a blog post about her experience. During this,
Julie’s husband left
her for a short time because she was paying too much attention to her hobby.
While she was alone in
that period, she continued writing the blog posts.
She sometimes
couldn’t do the recipes right, so she tried again and again while she was tired.
After some time, the American newspaper The New York Times published a story about Julie’s blog,
so Julie got a lot of attention
from journalists and writers.
In 2005 Julie published her book Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen.
Later, in 2009, director
Nora Ephron made a film called Julie and Julia about Julie’s story.
