JUST FOR ANIMALS
Reporter: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! Today in our radio programme, we will talk with a hero. He has been working actively to help animals and teach people that animals have rights just like we do. Here is Brad Mills from England. Hello, Brad!
Brad: Hi, everyone. It’s great to be here. Thanks for inviting me.
Reporter: Thanks for coming, Brad. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Brad: OK. I’ll try to tell my story in brief. Well, I’m an animal lover, an ordinary man, a husband, a father and a life-long learner. I’m from England, and I’m married to a gorgeous woman, and we have twins. My wife and kids love animals, too, and we have three dogs, four goats, three cows, two cats and a rabbit on our farm. I’m an architect, but I don’t do my job. I earn money by farming, and my wife is a teacher. I run in marathons and ride in cycling competitions to raise money for animals. Reporter: So, how do you manage to do all these things at the same time?
Brad: It’s all about planning your time. My wife helps me a lot on the farm, and the kids are responsible for looking after the animals. So, I can arrange my time to take part in campaigns.
Reporter: Great! How long have you been active in those campaigns?
Brad: For almost 5 years, and I hope to go on doing that until the end of my life.
Reporter: How much money did you raise last month in the running competition?
Brad: I raised about 2,400 dollars, and I’m attending a new one next week.
Reporter: How often do you train for such activities?
Brad: I train every day. I run in the morning, cycle in the evening and do exercise at night.
Reporter: What are you planning to do now? What are you going to do next for animals?
Brad: I’m going to climb a mountain, and put up a flag on the peak to raise awareness for endangered animals. We’ve raised money for animals in shelters, and now it’s time to help the endangered ones.
Reporter: Thank you, Brad. We will follow you, and I hope people will support you all through your journey. Wish you good luck!
