Korean New Year

Korean New Year

Hi, my name is Eun, and I’m from Korea. Korean New Year is an important holiday in my country. It’s my favourite because we do lot of fun things.

The holiday usually starts in January or February. It’s only three days long. In these three days, people visit family, wear traditional clothes, eat traditional Korean food and play games.

When we visit older relatives, like uncles, aunts and grandparents, we get money after we bow to them. I like Korean New Year for one more reason: The schools are closed in those three days! This year, Korean New Year starts on 5th February. I’m going to visit my grandma in Seoul.
