Talking to My Friend

I’m Laura. I live in New York. My friend Ashley lives in Canada. We’re making a video call.

Laura: Hi Ashley. How are you?

Ashley: Hi Laura. I’m very good. Are you OK?

Laura: Yes, I’m fine. It’s a lovely day here. The weather’s warm and sunny. When I look out of the window, I can see birds flying over the roofs of the houses and cats playing under the trees. What’s the weather like there?

Ashley: It’s cold and windy here. People are wearing hats and gloves. I can see yellow and brown leaves on the ground because it’s autumn time.

Laura: It was windy and rainy here last week. I was at home all day.

Ashley: It was the same here, but I was at my friend’s house.

Laura: What’s that sound?

Ashley: It’s the door. I think my parents are back. Nice to talk to you. See you later
