Lost in the Forest?
Two years ago, I went camping with my friends. Jason was 17 years old, so he drove us to the forest. Everything was all right. The weather was sunny and the forest looked beautiful. We put up our tents. Some friends started playing games, and Tory, Brian and I went swimming in the river. The water in the river was fast, so Tory and Brian got out of the water. I didn’t. I wanted to stay in the water and swim. Suddenly, the water current took me down the river very quickly. Tory and Brian ran after me, but they lost me.
I swam to the other side of the river and got out of the water. I was so tired. I only had my shorts on and I was cold. I started walking back up the river, but there was a big rock on my way, so I went into the forest. An hour later, I didn’t know where I was.
I stayed in the forest the whole night. It was scary, but I was lucky I didn’t see any wild animals. My friends thought I was dead. They even called a helicopter to find my body. The next morning, I found my way back to the river. The current wasn’t fast, so I swam to the other side easily. There, I found my friends’ tent. Nobody was there, but their equipment was. So, I waited for them to come back. After an hour, they came back and saw me. They got surprised! Yes, I was lucky.
