A At just 17 years old Pam Sandra won an amazing £1,625,000 on the lottery. Pam is now the richest teenager in Britain.

B When she got the money first she bought a larger house for her family. She paid nearly £300,000 for the new home. She says she has never been happier in her life before. Her new house is fantastic, and she loves it so much. Before she won the lottery they were living in a tiny old house, and she was sharing her room with her sister Jan. They were arguing about keeping the room tidy. Now that they have separate rooms she says that they are best friends and sisters again.

C There is another reason why Pam is so happy. She has a boyfriend called Leo, and they meet whenever they have time. ‘He is such an understanding boy,’ says Pam. They care about each other a lot. Her boyfriend has helped her change her attitude towards money. At first, Pam just wanted to spend all her money. She bought many unnecessary things, but her parents and Leo were always very supportive. ‘For months, they have waited for me to act cleverly. They were patient, and it helped me grow up and be more sensible,’ says Pam.

D Although it would be easy to live off her prize, Pam wants a normal life. She wants a real job so she can forget about the lottery money until she is old enough to use it properly. She wants to help children and she is planning to do a course in childcare. It has been an exciting year for Pam, but she hopes money won’t change her. ‘I am still the same young Pam I was before I won the lottery,’ Pam confidently states.
