Lucy's Job Interview

Yesterday Lucy had a job interview. Her interview was at 10:00 in the morning. She woke up at 7:00 am, and fed her dog and cats. She had a quick breakfast and left her house before 8:00 am. She waited for the bus, but it was late. Suddenly, she noticed that she forgot her bag at home. She was very worried because she did not want to be late for the interview. Lucy ran home and got her bag. She didn’t have enough time to take the bus so she took a taxi. She tried to phone the company to warn them, but her phone battery was dead. The traffic was jammed and she had just a little time. Finally, she arrived at the company 10:05 am. Lucy ran to the office building.

When she entered, she saw a sign that said the company was on the24th floor. The elevator ride took almost 5 minutes because many people stopped at different floors. When Lucy arrived at reception, it was 10:10! She was late! She introduced herself and apologized for being late. The receptionist checked her book said: “Sorry Lucy, but your appointment is tomorrow.” Lucy checked her agenda. It was true. She was there on the wrong day!
