Lucy’s Manchester Plans

Dear Grandma,

How are you? I wanted to tell you that I’m going to visit you in Manchester this summer. My mum said I could stay for a week. I’m so happy and excited.

I love spending time in Manchester. When I get there, I am going to visit the Manchester Art Gallery on the first day. It’s my favourite place in Manchester, I love paintings there.

After visiting the gallery, I am going to go to a Manchester United match. You know, I am a big fan of Paul Pogba. It will be great to watch them in the Old Trafford Stadium. My friends and I love having fish and chips before we go to a football match. I know that there are really good fish and chips places in Manchester. Can we go there before I go to the match?

I know that you want to go to the Manchester Museum. If you want, we can go there together on the second day. It will be awesome to see the dinosaur skeletons. I’m going to take pictures and show my friends. I read it on the internet that it’s a really big museum and you will get tired. Don’t worry! They have an indoor picnic area, we can bring our own food, have lunch there and relax.

For the rest of my stay, I want to help you with the house chores. I can mow the lawn or go shopping for you. I loved organizing your library last year, I can do it again this year if you want. Also, you told me that you have finished all the books I gave you before, so I’m going to bring new ones to you. I think you are going to love them.

I miss you so much grandma, and I can’t wait to come over there and spend time with you in Manchester. Write back soon if you want me to bring something from London for you.
