Making Our Own Films

We had a very nice lesson yesterday. The teacher told us that we needed to make our own films. After hearing this, all the students got so excited and we made our groups quickly. There were four people in our group including me, Tim, Jill and Mia. I said, “I want to be the person who records everything,” so I became the cameraman of our group. Mia said she always dreamed of being a director, a person who directs actors and actresses. Everybody loved Mia and we respected her and we chose her as the director of the group. After choosing the cameraman and the director we all came together to prepare a scenario.

In this unit, we learnt how the world could be a better place, so our scenario had to be something about this. In our group, we decided that helping each other would make the world a better place, so we wrote a scenario about that. In our scenario, we had Jill, who was an old woman, and Tim, who was a teenage boy. The old woman needed help to cross the road and carry her bags. The teenager saw that and went closer to the old lady to help her, and the old lady was very happy about this. She had a big smile on her face and she invited the boy to her house to drink some tea, but the teenage boy could not go with her because he didn’t have so much time. We showed our short film to the class and everybody loved it.
