Maria's Birthday

It’s Saturday afternoon and Sarah is in the living room. She is playing the guitar, singing and dancing. Sarah is a good singer. Maria, her younger sister, is her number one fan. Maria is sitting in front of the TV and watching her favourite cartoons.

Sarah and Maria’s parents are doctors, so they are very busy people. They usually leave the local hospital at six o’clock in the evening, but today they are coming home earlier because it’s Maria’s birthday.

It’s six o’clock and Maria’s grandparents are ringing the bell to come to the party. They love birthday parties and they like giving presents to their grandchildren. While Sarah is setting the table, Maria is opening her presents. Her mother is cooking and her father is watching the news on TV. They are a nice family and they are having a good time together.
