Mark Zuckerberg

Years ago, nobody heard about Mark Zuckerberg but now he is one of the most well-known people in the world. He is known as the founder of Facebook and he is also one of the world’s youngest billionaires. Facebook made him the youngest CEO of the world and he was on the list of Fortune 500 because of that. When you do research about him, you can easily understand how successful he was.

He was born on May 14th, 1984 in New York. His parents were educated people and they were always very careful regarding his education. I think the most interesting information about him is that he left Harvard after his second year because he wanted to concentrate more on working on his site, Facebook. Getting into Harvard could be a sign showing how smart he was. He was very interested in computers since he was very little. Moreover, when he was 12 years old, he started to create his own programs and games. His family observed him and they knew what he was very good at so they hired a private computer tutor for Mark to work with him once a week. The surprising thing about him is that he was excellent in literature when he was in high school. It is interesting for a person to be very successful in both computers and literature. When he was a high school student, he created another program which initiated job opportunities for him from big companies such as Microsoft but he rejected these kinds of offers.

Mark and Priscilla Chan are happily married with two daughters. Him and his wife wanted to do something for all the children in the world. In 2015, they decided to give 99% of their Facebook shares, which was about 45 billion dollars at the time, to charity.
