MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
How many of you can actually say that you have never heard the word “Jedi”, or “Darth Vader”? The odds are you are either not living in the same world or you might be living in a cave somewhere in the forest, because Star Wars film series are one of the most well-known ones in the world. The series are so rich with characters and the interesting settings that no man in the world can forget what they watched. The first Star Wars movie, called Star Wars: A New Hope, was released in 1977. It was the begining of the series and even at an early time like that, thousands of people watched it. They say today that they still can’t forget the first one. The movie takes place in another galaxy and there are a lot of aliens, robots and human-like beings featuring as main characters. In the movie, the galaxy happens to be in a war with another government that wants the total power. However, main characters of the movie have the power to create an energy known as “The Force.” This force includes the “Jedi”, a group of beings who serve for peace and justice. On the contrary, while the Jedi use The Force for good, the Sith does the opposite and use it for evil. This original Star Wars movie was later followed by two more series in 1980 and 1983. People were getting more crazy about “Star Wars” series and the demand let the directors make more films that involve different stories of the same characters. Then, in the late 1990s, Lucas decided to create three other Star Wars movies, films that told the story of what happened before the events of the first Star Wars movie. Star Wars movies have been incredibly popular and they have such dedicated fans who are familiar with all the characters and the plots of the series. That is actually one of the most important reasons that made Lucas create new animated Star Wars movies. The new shows mainly feature cartoon versions of the characters from those movies. These include Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Padme Amidala, and General Grievous. A new character named Ahsoka is added to the series as the first female Jedi to be a character of focus. Although the cartoon version of the series will not be as popular as the live-action ones, it will still carry the soul of “Star Wars” and make new generations aware of why their ancestors were such big fans of it.
