Meeting a Shoe Designer

My best friend, Tony invited me to their house party. It was his parents’ 30th wedding anniversary, so I bought some flowers for his mum. However there was a problem. I didn’t know anyone except my friend and his parents. I was afraid that it could be a boring party but it wasn’t.

At the party, Tony said “Look, that is my aunt,” and I asked “Which one is she? There are so many women around here.” Tony said, “My aunt is the one who is wearing a tight red dress with black, high heeled shoes.” He knows that I am crazy about shoes. Later, the three of us had a chance to talk and I learnt that Tony’s aunt is a shoe designer. It is my dream job, so I asked her so many questions about it and also about fashion. She said high heeled shoes and casual ones will always be trendy, because people will always need both. She also said people preferred more formal shoes in the past, but nowadays they wear more colourful ones.

I am a middle school student. I always walk to school, so I mostly prefer comfortable sneakers. When I go out at night I wear my fashionable shoes too. I was lucky that night because I was wearing one of my fashionable shoes and Tony’s aunt loved them. She told me that I can be a very successful shoe designer if I work hard. I really liked her. It was one of the best nights of my life.
