MINIATURK
………………………………………………………………
Miniaturk is a collection of models of architectural and natural works from many civilizations,
that have had an effect on Turkey from Ancient Greece to Rome and the Byzantine Empire,
from the Seljuks to the Ottomans.
It contains 131 models selected from among thousands of historical landmarks. They choose them by reputation,
ability to represent an era and ease of making the model.
The selection contains ancient buildings, mosques, bridges, railway stations, castles, city walls, mausoleums,
churches, synagogues, palaces, mansions, obelisks, monuments, statutes as well as unique natural formations,
such as Pamukkale’s white castle and Cappadocia’s fairy chimneys. For example, you can visit Sumela Monastery,
Izmir’s Clock Tower, The Ruins of Mt. Nemrut, The Fairy Chimneys of Cappadocia,
or see a boat tour along the Bosphorus in one day.
Everything is so true to its original in Miniaturk that one feels as if they have travelled across the whole country
from the east to the west, from the north to the south in a very short span of time.
An audio guide system that accompanies each model is unique to Miniaturk.
The system provides information in nine languages: Turkish, English, French, German, Russian, Arabic,
Spanish, Farsi and Japanese.
Inside the complex there is a restaurant, a café, a gift shop, an open-air show ground and a children’s playground.
Miniaturk is a giant complex where everything is available to make visitors enjoy their time while learning things.
Also, there is a car park with a capacity for 500 cars. Nearby Miniaturk, you can also visit two small museums;
The Panorama Victory Museum and The Istanbul Crystals Museum.
