MUSIC

Lily: What music do you listen to when you study, Rana?

Rana: I like listening to pop music when I study.  My favourite is Ariana Grande and Rihanna.

Lily: Really?  How can you focus when you listen to pop music?

Rana: Can’t you?

Lily: No, I listen to classical.  I can’t listen to music with lyrics when I study.

Jordan: I can’t listen to any music when I study.  But I always listen to fast music when I exercise.

Rana: Me too!  When I play volleyball on Wednesdays and Fridays,
our coach lets the team listen to dance music when we warm up.  It helps get our energy up.

Lily: When I go jogging I like listening to something with a lot of drums.  I like listening to rock or hip hop then.

Jordan: I can’t stand my mum’s music though.  She likes listening to jazz when she cooks.

Rana: My dad likes listening to folk music when he’s working at home.

Lily: I think my grandma’s taste in music is the worst.  She likes listening to opera.
And she likes listening to heavy metal.

Jordan:  Really?  Those are so different.  Why does she listen to those kinds of music?

Lily: It’s the only kind she can hear.
