My Career

I was thinking about my career last night. I want to be an entomologist when I grow up. That means I want to study insects. Is that a real job? Oh yes, it is. An entomologist can make $6,000 a month! Which bug do I want to study? Not bees. Not butterflies. I want to study katydids! The katydid is a beautiful insect. My favourite is the leaf katydid. It looks just like a leaf! My mom says I can be a great entomologist, but my dad doesn't like the idea. He told me I wasn't thinking about real life. He said his friend kills bugs in buildings every day, and he doesn't like his job. But that job is called an exterminator! They kill bugs. I want to study them. My dad wants me to work in his tea shop. I won't do that! I don't think he understands me at all.
