My Cats

Hi, everybody! My name is Ann Parker. I’m eleven years old, and I’m in grade four at Park School. I love animals, and I have three cats: Smokey, Tom and Frisky. Smokey is five years old. Tom is two years old, and Frisky is only one. Smokey is older than Tom, and Frisky is younger than Smokey.

Today my mother and I are making a new cat house for Smokey because his house is smaller and older than the others.

Mum: Ann! Can you help me, please?

Ann: Sure, Mum! What do we need?

Mum: We need some nails. We need to make a bigger house for Smokey.

Ann: Here you are, Mummy!

Mum: Thank you, dear. Can you pass me the hammer, please?

Ann: Sure!

Mum: There we are. Look at the new house for Smokey!

Ann: It’s beautiful. Thank you, Mum. Look! Smokey likes his new house because there is a lot of space for him.
