Mom: How’s your new class, Joe?

Joe: It’s amazing! I love my classmates.

Mom: Do you have new friends?

Joe: Yes. All my classmates are nice, but three of them are my close friends now.

Mom: Who are they?

Joe: Linda, Jack, and Carlos.

Mom: Is Jack the Mexican boy?

Joe: No, he’s from the UK. Carlos is from Mexico.

Mom: Where’s Linda from?

Joe: She’s American. She comes from New York. All her family are from New York.

Mom: Interesting! Are all your friends your classmates?

Joe: No, I have a friend from another class. Her name’s Marie. She’s tall and strong.
We play basketball in the schoolyard.

Mom: How old is she? And where’s she from?

Joe: She’s 10 years old. She’s German.

Mom: Cool! You have lots of good friends at school!
