My Favourite Person in The Family
Carla: Tom, who’s your favourite person in your family?
Tom: That’s a hard question to answer. Well, I think my uncle, because he’s a very interesting person.
Carla: What makes him so interesting?
Tom: Well, first of all, he looks different from my other uncles and aunts.
Carla: He’s got curly red hair and a long beard. Everyone else in my family has blond hair.
Tom: That’s interesting. Has he got an interesting character?
Carla: I think so. He’s a meteorologist and interested in science.
Tom: A meteorologist? What’s that?
Carla: He studies the weather and climate. You can say he’s a scientist.
Tom: I bet he always talks about the weather, climate and climate change.
Carla: Yes, but he’s a climate sceptic. That means, he doesn’t believe climate change is very serious.
Tom: Now, that’s very interesting!
Carla: And he talks to children about climate change and other environmental problems. He thinks pollution is a bigger problem.
Tom: I’d really like to be at one of his speeches.
Carla: He’s got a YouTube channel. Let me send you the link. Thanks.
