My Grandmother’s Life in the Past

Last weekend I visited my grandmother. She was very happy when she saw me. I stayed there the whole weekend and she told me many things about the times when she was young. Some of them were very interesting for me.

My grandmother was a very good student at school but she couldn’t go to university because there wasn’t a university in their city at that time. She couldn’t go to a shopping mall for shopping because there weren’t any malls. She could go to some stores but there weren’t many. She had a cousin that who lived in Germany and they could send letters and postcards to each other. They couldn’t send e-mails because they didn’t have computers and internet at that time. She had so many friends and they could play outside all day long. My grandmother said they couldn’t use technology when they were young but they were very happy.
