My Noisy Weekends

My Noisy Weekends

My name is Ryan and this is an ordinary Saturday at our house. If I tell you I like weekdays and also school, that’s not a lie. Here is why: my mum gave birth to triplets two years ago. Can you imagine? I suddenly had two sisters and a brother at the same time. That’s why my weekends are a bit crazy now.

On Saturdays, I wake up to my sisters’ lovely screams. Then the concert go on with my brother’s cries because when my little sisters are screaming my little brother is scared and then he starts crying! Then my day starts too. I mean it is hard to sleep, so I try to help my mum.

I try to make my brother and sisters laugh at my silly jokes. They are extremely adorable.  They laugh at the sounds I make, at my jumping up and down. They even laugh at me when I whisper into their ears.

I tell them stories. My little brother sleeps when I start telling stories. He likes me to whisper the stories.
My sisters sleep when I start to whistle. It is unbelievable! They all like the song ‘Are you sleeping, Brother John?’

They are so amazing. I used to think that it would be boring and too noisy in the house to have them all, but now I like to see them sing songs, play with me and smile at me. This is how my weekends are – a bit of scream and crying and a lot of laughter. My mum thanks me a lot for my help.

I forgot to tell you one more thing. When all of this screaming and crying is happening my father shouts at us to be quiet. I think he looks very funny when he shouts at four kids trying not to laugh at him. When I am at school with no screams and cries, I feel relaxed but I miss the triplets.
