MY PROJECT
Sally: I need help with my project, dad!
Dad: What is the project about?
Sally: Our teacher wants us to find some information about saving water. The subject is ‘What can we do to save water?’ She wants some photos or pictures, too.
Dad: OK. We can search for some information on the internet, but I think we can start with your ideas first.
Sally: What do you mean?
Dad: Tell me, how can we save water at home?
Sally: Well, I usually turn off the tap when I brush my teeth. I don’t take long showers.
Dad: That’s good. What about lakes, seas and oceans?
Sally: We shouldn’t pollute them. I always throw rubbish in the bin, but some people throw rubbish in the sea. I sometimes see them doing it.
Dad: Then, if you see someone throwing rubbish in the sea, you should talk to that person about why it’s harmful.
Sally: You’re right. Maybe I can add this to my project, dad. I can make a poster to warn people about rubbish in the seas.
Dad: That’s a good idea. You can draw pictures on your poster. I think you should also use big letters and different colours for your writing. It should be attractive!
Sally: OK. I will start to work on that right away! Thanks for helping me, dad!
