My Scary Day!

Hi, my name is Aput. I’m 11 and I live with my family. We all live in a big tribe in Canada near the North Pole. I live in an igloo – a house made of ice. We worked hard to make our beautiful house. In this area, the weather is usually snowy and very cold. Yesterday morning, I had lots of fun with my dad. We went fishing. It was cloudy and very cold. The water was frozen. Everything was great. We caught three big fish, but suddenly, there were thick clouds everywhere in the sky. The snowflakes started falling from the sky and soon there was a strong wind. We packed everything to go back home. On the way home, I was so scared. There were some strange noises and it was freezing. Finally, we were at home after walking for two hours. There was a snowstorm last night after we arrived home. Dad said we were lucky that we got home before the storm.
