Natural Sources of Energy
Life depends on energy. The Earth and the solar system get energy from the sun. Without the sun, there wouldn’t be any Earth. Plants need the sun to grow because it gives them energy. Animals eat plants, and this gives them energy, too. Energy is all around us.
Actually, nature is the best source of energy. The sun, wind, water, fire, and lightning are examples of it.
Generally, we get energy from fossil fuels to light and heat our houses. Oil gives us gasoline, and we can use it in our cars. Unfortunately, when we burn fossil fuels, it pollutes the air. Scientists are working on an energy source that is clean and doesn’t harm the Earth.
We need to find other ways to get energy. Windmills are used to catch the wind power. Today, we use modern wind turbines in wind farms to get energy from the wind. To get more energy from the sun, there are solar panels on top of buildings. They collect energy from the sun. There are also dams to get energy from water.
There are dierent ways to get energy from nature. The natural sources of energy are really important because they help us keep our Earth clean.
