NEW FORMS OF ART

NEW FORMS OF ART

Ladies and Gentleman. Your radio host Vincent is here today with you again. I hope you are having a wonderful time. Today, I am going to tell you a little about the new forms of art which you might find really interesting. To start with, let me tell you about dirty car art.

I am sure all of us sometime in our lives have written ‘Wash me!’ or something like that on a dusty car window, but nowadays people are drawing amazing things. They are pieces of art. Maybe you have heard of this before. What about shadow art? Shadow artists use carefully positioned objects to cast beautiful shadow images of people, words, or places.

Have you heard of Anamorphic Typography? Anamorphosis is the technique of drawing images that can only be fully understood from a specific point or angle. In some cases, the correct image will only appear if viewed through a mirror. Another one is sticky note art. Sticky notes have become a dynamic tool for artistic expression. Several artists have used post-it notes; sticky notes in many different artistic creations. While some use sticky notes to add colour and shape to sculptures that they’ve designed, other artists use them in performance art pieces, asking their audience, who are watching them, to participate by writing on the notes. I once watched a public notice video about a man whose car was covered with post-it notes because he had parked on the disabled spot. It was really nice. You can google it. I can give you more examples.

Check these ones out: art from matches, tin foil art, coloured pencil sculptures, x-ray art, green (tree) sculptures, pavement art, 3D drawings, hand art. I kept the one that I liked the most for the end. I can’t say how much I love this; it is a stone painting. I spent hours trying to paint a small bird on a pebble last summer. If you haven’t tried it, that means you are wasting your time. Try it today. Thanks for listening, folks! Hope to see you tomorrow.
