Notting Hill Carnival

Notting Hill Carnival is a popular special day in my country. It takes place two days during August in London, UK. It is a street festival and almost two million people visit Notting Hill for this event. It’s very colourful. There is a competition called the National Champions of Steel. Different bands play steel drums and try to come first in the competition. There is also a children’s parade. Children wear different costumes and join their f riends. This parade is short because it is only for children. The adults attend the main parade. The route is about 5 kilometres long. People wear different costumes and dance to loud music. They eat the delicious Caribbean food and enjoy the carnival. If you have chance, you must come and see it. It’s very crowded but the music is great and the costumes are fabulous.
