Now and Then - About My Grandfather's Time

My grandfather is very old. He is 92. He lived in a village a long time ago. When he was a kid there was no television. He listened to the radio every day. He walked everywhere. There were no buses in the village. There were only horse carts. People used horse carts to carry things and to go to places. Many people had bicycles, but they didn’t have cars. He travelled to Istanbul by ship. It arrived many days later. Travelling was tiring and difficult. Now it’s very easy. People travel by car or by plane. It’s very fast.
