OH, SO SCARY!

OH, SO SCARY!

Story 1: “Daddy told me never to go in the basement, but I wanted to see what was making that noise. It kind of sounded like a kitten, and I wanted to see the kitten, so I opened the basement door and tiptoed down a bit. I didn’t see a kitten, and then Daddy pulled me out of the basement and shouted at me. Daddy had never been so angry at me before, and it made me so sad that I cried. Then Daddy told me never to go into the basement again, and he gave me a candy. That made me feel happy, so I didn’t ask him why the girl in the basement was making noises like a kitten.”

Story 2: “I begin tucking my daughter into bed and she tells me, “Mommy, check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath to make her happy and see her, another her, under the bed, looking back at me scared and whispering, “Mommy, there’s somebody on my bed.”

Story 3: “When my son was three years old, I found him playing with paper towel tubes, tied with twine. I asked him what he was doing. He said he was practicing his “nun chucks”. He had no way of knowing what they were. He said that Brian had showed him each night how to use them. I almost freaked out, but asked him to tell me about Brian. He said he was short, red haired, and had green eyes. He said, “Mommy, you KNOW him! He died of a headache.” Two months before my son was born, my short, red haired, green eyed, karate teacher had died of a brain disease at the age of 30.”
