Online and Offline Entertainment
People spend a lot of time and money on entertainment because they need it. They return home from their stressful jobs and need something to relax with. Some people choose games, others watch TV, and some others listen to music. As the Internet is spreading across the globe, more and more people are starting to use online entertainment.
On average, people spend about two hours every day on social networking sites, but they don’t forget television. An average person spends about one hour and forty-five minutes watching TV every day.
Music was the top entertainment for the youth in the 1980s. Today people spend about 55 minutes listening to their favourite music online and only 30 minutes on the radio. However, concerts remain very popular. These days more people go to concerts than ever before – about ten times a year on average for each person.
Games never lose their popularity. About sixty per cent of teenagers play online games for two hours a day on average. Older people still get together and play different games with their friends. More than half of the people aged 35 and above say they go to their friends’ homes to play a kind of game.
