OWLS

OWLS

Although there are exceptions, most human beings are awake during the day time busy with daily tasks. Night is the ideal time for them to sleep and rest to get energy for the next day.

The case is different for the owl. During the daytime they remain hidden in quiet places and they are busy trying to find their food at night. Owls, like many other animals, are nocturnal so they have the habit of seeking food or moving at night. However, as you can imagine, searching for food in the dark is not an easy thing to do. That’s why they have special eyes and ears which help them to hunt at night time. Their huge eyes absorb more light as the light is limited at nights. They cannot see the things that are close but they are good at seeing anything far away from their eyes. Plus, they have an excellent sense of hearing. These qualities make the night time hunting of owls much easier and they can catch their prey despite the dark.
