Hi, I’m Paola. We celebrated my little sister Jane’s first birthday last Sunday. It was a small party but I was really excited because my mum and dad asked my help for the organization. We invited all our relatives who live near us and my aunt and uncle came all the way from New York, too! My sister was a bit tired and she was in bed for the first two hours of her own party. She joined us at three o’clock. We gave her our presents and opened them together. My grandma and grandpa bought a huge teddy bear for my sister. When my grandpa gave Jane the teddy bear, she started to cry because she was scared. I gave Jane a pretty skirt. I think she liked it because she smiled at me.

Later, we had some food and drinks. We ate sandwiches and cake. The cake was delicious. It was white and had Julie’s name on it in yellow letters. There were a lot of children at the party and we all played different games like musical statues. My cousin Johnny won all the games! Jane watched us together with mum. My dad took photos and a video of Jane. At five o’clock everyone went home except my aunt and uncle from London. They stayed at our house. There were a lot of things to clean up after the party and we all helped. I was really tired but Jane was wide awake!
