Party Time

Hello. I’m Scott. It was my birthday last week. I wanted to have a big birthday party, so I invited all of my friends.

We didn’t buy a cake because my grandmother made a big chocolate cake, and put 10 candles on it. My mother made delicious lemonade. My older sister Susan fried some chicken and chips. It was a sunny day. We didn’t want to celebrate it inside, so my father carried the big table to the garden.

All of my friends came to my party at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. We played games in the garden. My best friend John played the guitar and we danced. When it was 3 o’clock, Susan brought the cake. I blew out the candles and made a wish. My friends clapped their hands and sang Happy Birthday. My younger sister Maggie started to cry because she wanted to blow out the candles, too. I said “OK”, and she did it. My friends sang the song again for her, and she felt happy. My mother took her phone to take a photo. Everyone stood around the table and smiled for the camera.

I had a great time with my family and friends. My friends enjoyed the party, too. It was a great day.
