PEOPLE WITH SUPERPOWERS: REAL OR FAKE?

Cindy: Did you watch the film last night?

Claudia: Which film are you talking about?

Cindy: The new Wonder Woman film. It was on Channel 9 last night. I thought it was great. Didn’t you watch it?

Claudia: No, I didn’t. I haven’t heard of a film called Wonder Woman.

Cindy: Really? It was amazing. There was this woman, of course, and she was a real hero. She had incredible powers. She had tremendous strength and she rescued everybody from the villains. She was like a goddess!

Claudia: I don’t believe in people with incredible powers. Have you ever seen anyone flying or lifting a  building, or people with amazing senses who can see through walls? I have never seen Superman, Spiderman or who was it - Wonder Woman?

Cindy: Ok, of course, they don’t exist. They’re just in stories, and by the way, why are you in such a bad mood?

Claudia: I think I’ve lost my phone. I can’t find it anywhere. Have you seen it?

Cindy: No, I haven’t, but let me call a super lady to come and help you! Mum, have you seen Claudia’s phone?

Mum: It’s on the kitchen table, next to the plates and cups you haven’t cleared up yet! Oh, and my super X-ray vision shows me that your maths books are still in your school bag, Cindy. Haven’t you girls got a test tomorrow?

Claudia: Ha, ha, ha! Now I believe in superpowers!
