Photographing Animals
Many young people start their photography career by taking photos of their pets or other animals. Although cats, dogs, hamsters and other pets are the most photographed animals, zoo animals are a common subject for photographs, too. It is not easy to take an animal’s photo as they don’t usually sit still and pose for you. Most people take their pets’ photos while they are sleeping or resting. Another way to get a nice portrait of a cat or a dog is to hold a biscuit or a treat above the camera. By doing that, you can easily take a wonderful photo of your animal. As the treat will be above the camera, it won’t be in the photo. So, your friends will be impressed by your pet’s loving expression. You can also take some good, quick shots of a pet by taking a picture after calling its name. Your pet will look at you and you will get a wonderful photo of it. Taking photos of zoo animals requires a little more patience . After all you can’t wake up a lion! You may have to wait until the animal does something interesting or even looks at you. When photographing zoo animals, don’t get too close to the cages or try to give food between the bars of a cage. Concentrate on shooting good pictures and always respect the animals.
