At some point in your life you too may have wished to be multi-talented and if you don’t know it yet, there’s actually a term for such people: polymaths. So basically, such people are individuals who are knowledgeable in many areas, such as mathematics, physics, music and so forth. If you’re interested in the most talented people that have ever lived though, then pay close attention to the paragraphs below, as they’ll tell you more about some of the most talented people of all time.
Maria Agnesi
Maria Agnesi was an Italian mathematician and philosopher. She was the first woman in the Western world who achieved fame in Mathematics. She could speak Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and several modern languages at an early age.
Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci wasn’t only an incredible artist, but also one of the most interesting inventors who has ever lived. Some of his ideas include the theory of plate tectonics, the calculator, solar power, the tank and the helicopter, on top of painting the popular Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Isaac Asimov
The biochemist and author Asimov wrote more than nine thousand postcards and letters and more than five hundred books. He also wrote stories for science-fiction magazines.
Douglas Hofstadter
Hofstadter was born in 1945. He is a physicist, a mathematician, an academic artist, a musician, an anaesthetist, a philosopher, an author and a professor. He has won several awards including a Pulitzer Prize.
