PUFFINS AND THE BLOBFISH
PUFFINS
Puffins are small seabirds. They are black and white. They have large, orange beaks. Their beaks help them catch 10 to 12 fish a day. Puffins are great swimmers and fliers. They can dive 50 – 60 metres under the water and fly 88 kilometres an hour. Their wings are short and waterproof. This helps them to keep warm when they swim under the sea.
THE BLOBFISH
The Blobfish is a deep sea fish. It’s pink and has a big head, huge nose and small eyes. Its body is like jelly because it’s got no bones or muscles. This helps it to swim in the sea without using a lot of energy. Blobfish don’t have scales like other fish. It has spikes.
