Reading: CULTURE
Culture refers to the characteristics of a group of people, including their language, cuisine, social habits, religion, music and arts.
Culture affects people’s lives in many ways. It influences their perception of the world, their attitudes towards life. Their eating habits, their sense of humour and even the way they entertain themselves are all affected by culture.
Cultural traditions are important because they transmit shared values from one generation to the next.
