Real Friends vs Online Friends

Real Friends vs Online Friends

What makes someone a ‘true’ friend? These days, if we add someone on our Facebook contact list, we call them a friend. But are they truly your friends? Here are three differences between real friends and online friends:

   (1)    …………………………

We follow online friends because we’ve met them somewhere or they’re very good-looking. We’re there for them. For example, if they post something online, we will check it quickly. But true friends are just the opposite. They’re there for us. They keep us company when we’re bored, tired or ill, for instance.

   (2)    …………………………

It feels great to sit at your computer or hold your phone and write whatever you like. Most people feel comfortable with saying things to online friends that they wouldn’t tell them face to face. Online friends learn a lot about you, but they will forget them very quickly if they don’t see you. Real friends care more about you and can tell you things that make you feel uncomfortable.

   (3)    …………………………

Even when they’re offline, online friends are there for you to talk to. You can leave a message, and they can respond whenever they see it or if they have time. Real friends aren’t cheap. You have to spend time with them and buy food and drinks just to talk with them.
