Rhymes
I love writing poetry because I am good at thinking of rhyming words. For example, I just wrote a poem about an egg. Can you guess what the first rhyme was? Bird and word. English is a weird language because bird and word look different, but they sound the same. Bird and third look the same and they rhyme. Love and move look the same, but they don't rhyme. Then there are words like two, to and too. You say them the same way! I was reading about rhymes when I learned something surprising. There are four words that look the same but none of them rhyme. Cough, tough, dough and bough all sound different. Isn’t it interesting?
