River Monsters

River Monsters

River Monsters is a 2003 British and American wildlife documentary television programme that is sometimes like horror films. It is about biologist Jeremy Wade’s trips to different parts of the world to catch big and scary fish in rivers. I think this documentary is absolutely fantastic and different from all other wildlife documentaries.

First of all, I really like Jeremy Wade’s character. He is always very calm and never scared of the frightening fish that he catches. He is also very friendly with the local people and makes friends with them instantly.

Secondly, the documentary is not boring at all. It is full of surprises – sometimes scary ones. I have never seen some of the creatures that he catches, even on the Internet or in our school textbooks. Sometimes I feel that I am with him on his trips because the documentary is so exciting.

Finally, I think that River Monsters gives us lots of good information about the world we live in. In our boring city lives, we often forget how beautiful, rich and dangerous our planet is.
