Robots of Future

Technology is everywhere and we can’t escape its products. One of the most important technological inventions of today is robots. A robot is a mechanical device and it is usually guided by a computer program. The word ‘robot’ was first used by a Czech artist named Josef Čapek and it meant “hard work” in Czech language. The first digitally operated and programmable robot was invented in 1954 and its name was `the Unimate`.

Robots have become so common that you can see them in many places, like hospitals, hotels and even the car industry. They have also been used in houses! Robots help people to do easy tasks at home like cooking and cleaning. People like them because they feel more comfortable at home. In addition, robots can help take care of babies and old people. Scientists are trying to create sociable robots and these robots will speak to people and show feelings like happiness or sadness just like humans. In the future, we will use robots in our daily lives so often that they may become like a family member.

Another technological development is smart homes and they are also very popular these days. People prefer smart homes because they make life easy for them. You can change the temperature in the house, turn the lights on/off, stop or start the coffee machine, watch your kids at home and do many other things in a smart house. Some people forget things easily so this is a reliable alternative for them, too. With the advances in technology, smart homes will improve, as well. Because these homes are intelligent, they will learn people`s likes and dislikes and change things in the house for you. For example, it will set the water heat in the bathroom to your preferred temperature or it will make the windows dark when it is time to sleep. More interestingly, the walls in the houses will be the screen of your TV or computer and you can watch anything on them.

Technology is developing so fast that it is difficult to catch up with every single new item. Scientists are definitely working hard to make our lives easier and more comfortable. In the future, we will be surprised at the new inventions.
