RUDY
Rudy is a 1993 movie which is based on the true story of Daniel Rudy Ruettiger. Rudy grows up in a working class family and dreams of playing football at the university of Notre Dame. He has a poor family and his grades are low at school and most importantly he is not tall and strong enough to play football. Rudy works with his father and his best friend Pete at a local steel factory. Pete is the only person who believes that he can make his dream come true. However, Pete dies in an accident while working at the factory and Rudy thinks that this is a sign that he should quit working and pursue his dream.
He meets new people and they help him start Holy Cross Junior College. He studies very hard to get higher grades and finally he is transferred to Notre Dame. Rudy volunteers to work for free at Notre Dame Stadium and because he has little money, he secretly starts living in the Stadium. The coach; however, does not allow him to play in the team. He trains every day and wants to play in the last match of the season. To support Rudy, his teammates protest the decision of the coach, and the coach lets him play. He becomes the best player of that match and the team wins. Rudy is carried off the field by his teammates happily and triumphantly.
This real story of Rudy shows that you should never give up your dreams and ambitions. Although he had many difficulties, he proved himself to his family, coach, teammates and to the fans of the team.
