Safaris then and now

Safaris in the past were different from the safaris we have today. Eighty years ago, safaris were dangerous. People were on safaris to hunt and kill animals. Safaris were only for very rich people. Their clothes were special, and their trips were very long. People on safaris stayed in treehouses and tents.

Today lots of people can go on a safari because it’s cheaper. There are now tour companies to take people on safaris. People aren’t there to kill animals. They usually only take pictures. There are special cars to go around the jungles and deserts, and special places to stay in at night. Safaris aren’t very dangerous any more.
