Sally Missed The Assignment

Carl: Sally, are you ready for tomorrow’s assignment?  

 

Sally: What assignment? Who gave us an assignment?

 

Carl: Miss Teel did. We’re going to talk about our plans for the school trip to the forest.

 

Sally: I have no idea what you’re talking about. When did she give us the assignment? 

 

Carl: Last Friday. You and I are in the same team, with Harry.

 

Sally: Carl, I was absent that day! Why didn’t you tell me anything about it? 

 

Carl: I thought Harry told you everything about it. I’ll call him now ... He’s not picking up his phone. Sorry, Sally. I don’t know what to say. 

 

Sally: OK, no problem. Did you and Harry work on the assignment?

 

Carl: Yes, we did. I’m going to talk about the tools we need for experiments on the soil. We tried a similar experiment in the Science lab, remember?

 

Sally: Yes, and I liked it. Are you going to talk about the types of trees in the forest?

 

Carl: Yes, Harry is going to bring his camera, and we’re going to document as many tree types as possible. 

 

Sally: So, there remains my favourite topic – insects! I’ll talk about my plans to study the insects in the area. 

 

Carl: That sounds great. So, let’s plan to meet this evening to get ready. Let me call Harry, and then I’ll call you. OK? Talk to you soon. Bye for now.
