SCHOOL LIFE

Dear Chris,

Thank you for your email. I’m very happy that you’re my new mail friend. I want to tell you about my school. My school is very different from other schools. I don’t go to school every day. I’m already here! I’m a student at Greenwood Boarding School. Pupils sleep here. I’ve got a room with two other girls. What do I do every day? I always get up at 7 o’clock. Then, I have breakfast with the other students and teachers. We have lessons from 9 to 1 o’clock. We have a lunch break until 2 o’clock and in the afternoon we have more lessons until 4 o’clock. We have the same subjects as other schools like Maths, History, Geography, and Science. After our lessons, we usually do our homework. In the evenings, I send emails to my parents. They travel a lot for their work. I also write in my diary. At 6:30, we eat in the dining room. After dinner, I sometimes watch a DVD with my friends. We go to bed at 9:30, but we usually talk until 10:30! This is my school life. What’s your school like?

Dear Sarah,

I’m really glad to be your mail friend, too. I go to Mellway Music School, which is a great school. Besides the usual subjects I have dance and music lessons. Classes start at 8:45 am every day and they finish at 4 o’clock on most days. On Fridays we don’t finish at 4 o’clock. We finish at 2:30, but I stay until 5 o’clock and practise with my friends. I want to become a singer so Mellway is perfect for me. My favourite subject is Modern Dance. You see, I like hip hop. It’s great fun! The facilities at Mellway are excellent. My favourite place is the theatre. It’s very big, and at the end of school in July, we give a dance performance there. Maybe you can come and watch our show. It would be really super! I’m having exams this week. So I’m studying a lot. What about you? When are your exams? I’m looking forward to your next mail.
