SCHOOL PROBLEMS
Things that worry us may happen everywhere. If these things happen at school, it may be more disturbing because we teenagers spend a good amount of our time at school. There is no one that never experiences one or more of the problems listed below:
• Finding schoolwork difficult,
• Not being able to concentrate during classes,
• Problems with friends or teachers,
• Being bullied,
• Problem affording school supplies, books or proper lunch.
You might be worried about any of these things. You may feel sick, have headaches or stomach aches. Getting up and leaving home for school might turn into a real challenge for you. You might start getting low marks, submitting low quality assignments or not submitting any. You might lose your self-confidence or your friends. In extreme cases, you might truant without your parents knowing.
If you are experiencing any of these things, it is a good idea to talk to someone, preferably a trusted adult that can help you. Usually, parents and teachers are the first people you should go to. They usually work together to address your problem. If you are bullied, most school have an anti-bullying policy that they can apply. If you are having learning difficulties, your school’s psychologist may help you deal with your condition. If you are having problems, just talk... Communication is always the best.
