SCI-FI PREDICTIONS IN FILMS THAT CAME TRUE

If you have recently seen the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, made in 1973, you may actually spot this invention. In the film, there is a scene where the astronauts are watching conferences or reading texts from a couple of flat screens. If you pay more attention to the gadgets, their shape and design are also similar to the modern ones.

In the 1999 film Smart House, a robot called PAT (Personal Applied Technology) runs a house and can receive and respond to voice commands. The robot can also control settings in the house and do the chores. What makes PAT even more interesting is its ability to learn the habits of the residents, make phone calls, etc.

In the 2002 film Minority Report, the film characters live in a world full of surveillance equipment where all their data is used for different purposes. Some of the scenes in this film show billboards that can scan people’s eyes and show them ads according to their interests. It is quite similar to the online ads we get according to our search history and interests we have chosen on social media.
