SNOW BEFORE THE DANCE PARTY

Dear Aunt Marie,

I was so sad to hear that you didn’t have electricity after the hurricane, but it was really cool to get a handwritten letter! Thanks so much for writing to me. Now I am writing a handwritten letter to you, too! I hope you can read my handwriting. I don’t get much practice because I usually write everything on my phone. Anyway, we are having a problem with the weather, too. It’s snowing here. I love snow, but today I had a reservation at the hair salon. They are closed because of the heavy snowfall, and tomorrow our school is having a dance party. My friend Kevin asked me to go to the party with him, but I need a haircut! I can’t go out with my hair looking like this. Kevin is really cool, by the way. His dad is one of Lady Gaga’s bodyguards, so he gets to go to lots of her concerts for free. I hope he becomes my best friend because I really want to meet Lady Gaga. Oh, it’s raining now! I hope it washes away the snow, so I can go get my haircut. I miss you, Aunt Marie!
