Some Dinosaurs

Anchisaurus
Anchisaurus was originally discovered in 1818, many years before dinosaurs were known by people. At that time, scientists believed that the skeleton was that of an old human, but they were wrong. It belonged to Anchisaurus. This dog-sized animal hopped along slowly, similar to a kangaroo, as it looked for some plants to eat.

Tyrannosaurus
The king of the dinosaurs and the most famous one of them. Tyrannosaurus rex can be seen in the books, films and many television shows. It was a very terrifying hunter. It was one of the last dinosaurs to die out. Their arms became much smaller. Tyrannosaurus’ arms were so short that they weren’t very useful. It had such a huge head that it could eat a whole human body in one bite!

Albertosaurus
Albertosaurus lived in the north-western part of the North American continent. Alberstosaurus was smaller than Tyrannosaurus but was very frightening for its preys, too. It is believed that Albertosaurus may be an early ancestor of Tyrannosaurus. Albertosaurus was a typical large meat-eating dinosaur, with long, sharp teeth for slicing the flesh of its preys, short useless arms and a huge head.
